There will be a brief intermission with light refreshments.
The dance will conclude with a light buffet, 5pm–6pm, in the lobby of Lovett Hall.

Glen Morningstar Jr. and the Olde Michigan Ruffwater Stringband will lead and play music for the first half of the dance. Morningstar’s group has 33 years of experience playing for traditional and historical dancing in the Midwest. It’s also the group that played for the monthly American contra dancing series at Lovett Hall from 1981 to 2005. The band has the unique ability to play the old Ford Orchestra music as well as to lead dancing from the "Good Morning" books that Henry Ford published.
For the second half of the dance, Danika Murray from Benton Harbor, Michigan, will provide the instruction and calling. Murray has led dancing locally and nationally and is a Michigan favorite. The Panning Family (aka Fiddlefire) from Holland, Michigan, will provide the music for the second half of the dance. They have played for weekend dance camps, monthly dances and church and school dances for nine years.
