More than a century ago, Henry Ford revolutionized the world with the Model T. Quite literally, it changed the way
we live. But what was life like before the automobile and how did life change after Roadside America “adopted” the
automobile? Our vast transportation collections and exhibits includes trains, carriages, cars and related artifacts.
Engaging resources will help your students see how the everyday choices we have made since the Industrial Revolution
affected the movement of goods and people, the economy, the environment and our lifestyles. Explore the positive
and negative impacts of transportation systems and gain new insight into the social impact of these transportation
innovations. Explore the many ways this topic can enhance your students’ learning.
