Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition
March 31-September 30, 2012
On April 15, 1912, Titanic, the world’s largest Ship, sank after colliding with an iceberg, claiming more than 1,500 lives. During the 100th anniversary of the sinking, The Henry Ford will host the largest touring Exhibition of Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, in Henry Ford Museum, March 31 through September 30, 2012.

This Exhibition, 10,000 square feet in size, features more than 300 artifacts – 250 of which have never been displayed in Michigan. In addition, visitors will walk through extensive room re-creations, be able to get their photos taken near the full-scale replica of the Grand Staircase, as well as learn about passengers on board who had local ties to Michigan.

Moving through this newly redesigned and expanded Exhibition, visitors will be taken back in time to 1912 and “travel” through the life of the Titanic — from the ship’s construction, to its on-board passengers, its ill-fated voyage, to the amazing artifact rescue efforts that involved divers returning to the sunken ship in recent years.

LEGO® Architecture: Towering Ambition
November 3, 2012 - February 24, 2013
Draw inspiration for creating your own designs from the LEGO® Architecture: Towering Ambition exhibition in Henry Ford Museum. The Exhibition is composed of 15 models: Fallingwater, 7 South Dearborn, Aon Center, Chicago Spire, John Hancock Center, Marina City, Willis Tower, Trump Tower, Skyneedle, Burj Khalifa, Empire State Building, St Louis Arch, TransAmerica Building, Jin Moa Tower, and one tower of the World Trade Center.

Explore the architectural wonders, and then start your own construction project in the nearby play pit. When finished with your masterpiece, place it on our large-scale LEGO® city map that will grow in size with every new builder’s addition.

LEGO® Architecture: Towering Ambition was developed by the National Building Museum, Washington D. C. Play area sponsored through in-kind donation from LEGO® Systems, Inc. LEGO®, its logo and the brick and knob configuration are trademarks of the LEGO Group. © 2010-12 The LEGO Group.
